As an integral member of the High Desert Designs team, John Drew has helped shape many of the landscapes that define the firm’s signature aesthetic.

Working closely alongside Chad Norris, John brings a refined understanding of desert composition, proportion, plant material, and the relationship between architecture and landscape. His projects are layered, sculptural, and deeply rooted in the Sonoran setting — with every element considered for how it contributes to the larger experience of the property.

From dramatic specimen cacti and naturalistic boulder placement to carefully composed planting palettes and seamless outdoor living spaces, John’s work reflects the same attention to detail and restraint that has become synonymous with High Desert Designs.

This collection highlights landscapes designed by John and showcases the range, depth, and distinctive character he brings to the High Desert portfolio.
